Our Body Image

I don’t know about you but I’m my worst critic. I remember when I was 28, in great shape and I would look in the mirror at all of my flaws. At 40 now what I wouldn’t give for that 28 year old body. I wish I had appreciated it when I had it.

So now I’m working on getting as close as I can to that 28 year old body. I have a personal trainer, I’m eating right and taking care of myself. I get massages and go to a chiropractor. I really try to pamper myself when I can. Manicure and Pedicures are great ways as well.

What I’ve also learned from the past is that things can always be better, but they can also be worse. I may not be completely happy with my physical body today but it is much better than it was when I gave birth to my oldest son 10 years ago. In fact I’m in better shape now than I was a year ago. I’m thankful for that and I’m going to appreciate myself for where I am right now.

Summer is here and its time to get a new swimsuit. I’m actually looking forward to it this year because I appreciate myself for who I am. It’s so much more fun to go through the world confidently. Why stress over cellulite or a few extra pounds? Most people are so consumed with themselves and their own flows that they don’t notice yours anyway.
