I recently met with a client who really did know her style. She knew she had a bohemian flair and that’s what she felt comfortable in. She had great pieces in her closet but didn’t know how to wear them.
Like many of my clients she would get stuck in the rut of wearing the same top and bottoms together and that gets old. This pattern can easily make you feel as if you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. No one wants that.
The most important thing is how you feel in the ensemble. Not what do you think other people will think. If you feel fabulous, you will be confident and confidence exudes success. Everyone else will think you look great too.
If you’re not used to mixing and matching your clothes then this may seem awkward at first but practice makes perfect. Be patient. Grab a top and try pairing it with several different pieces in your closet. Don’t beat yourself up if you try something and it doesn’t look good try something else until you find at least one to two different styles. You can take pictures of yourself in the outfits if you’re afraid you won’t remember or think you may go back to wicked ways of wearing the same shirt with the same skirt.
Congratulations you have now expanded your wardrobe. Isn’t that fun?
