Does Your Mood Matter When it Comes to Shopping?

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Have you ever tried shopping when you weren’t in the mood? Doesn’t work so well, does it? It’s so important to shop when you’re in the right frame of mind and excited to shop. Here’s an example: a while back I was sick, but I had a coupon from Macy’s that was about to expire, and being sick wasn’t going to keep me from using it. I mean, it is Macy’s, right? So I went out and started shopping. I tried on 54 things. No, that’s not an exaggeration, 54 items (I counted). The worst part was that I didn’t like any of them! I wasn’t about to let my trip or my coupon go to waste, so I bought bras and underwear (practical and safe). Sound familiar? If not, then lucky you, if yes, then it’s not just you. It happens more often then you think. Don’t beat yourself up, but be advised, next time you go shopping, make sure that it’s really what you want to do, or else you’ll end up with drawers full of bras and underwear and nothing to wear.
